MORE ON OUR GUESTS
Sarah L. Carroll
Sarah is a fourth-year graduate student in the Clinical Science program at Michigan State University. She earned her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Virginia, where she developed an interest in twin research through her work in the Genetics and Human Agency Lab.
In her research at MSU, Sarah studies the role of genotype-environment interaction in the development of psychopathology throughout childhood and adolescence. She is particularly interested in the effects of both the broader context (e.g., neighborhood poverty, crime) and characteristics of the family environment on youth mental health. Her long-term career goal is to be a faculty member conducting genetically informed research that focuses on environmental risk and protective factors.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys salsa dancing, being outdoors, and spending time with her two cats, Francie and Laurie.
Alice Pajo
Alice has the unique experience of living life as a triplet! She is the non-identical one, which gave her a different vantage point growing up. She feels like it has helped her identify that being different is okay! Being a triplet gave her the opportunity to develop intuition and empathy for others around her. Currently, she’s a nurse, is married to her soul partner, and has two amazing boys!
Cindy Henkleman
Cindy is 47 years old, as are her sisters. Currently, she is unemployed and in the process of applying for a job as a 911 dispatcher with the Edmonton Police. She’s married to her wonderful husband Rob and has two amazing boys, Owen, who is 17 and Andrew, who will be turning 15 at the end of this month. They live in the beautiful hamlet of Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Looking back, she realizes how rare it was to be a triplet — and still is to some extent. It has made her more appreciative of her experiences. She is the oldest of the three — older than Allie by 3 minutes and Jasmine by 5 minutes. She and Jasmine are identical and Allie is fraternal. They not only had a different experience than most siblings as a result of being triplets but each one of them also experienced differences due to being identical or fraternal.

Sarah’s daughter (and former Braaains guest), Charlotte, loves Shayla Miller. We had a chance to take her to see her, and she got a shout-out! It was the sweetest. Here is Charlotte’s favorite song!
