Our guest, Tom Sinclair, is an actor and filmmaker based in Winnipeg. He joined us to talk about his journey into acting and filmmaking in Manitoba and his experience working on the feature film Champions, his acting debut. Loren “Tom” Sinclair, known to most people as Tom, is a 29-year-old filmmaker from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is passionate about storytelling through film and inspiring others, especially people with disabilities, to follow their dreams. Although he lives with disabilities, he does not let them prevent him from doing what he loves: filmmaking and storytelling. He had the opportunity to star in the film Champions (2023), where he demonstrated that no matter who you are, you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it. He strongly believes that dreams can come true.
ABOUT CHAMPIONS
Champions is a 2023 American sports comedy-drama film directed by Bobby Farrelly in his solo directorial debut, from a screenplay written by Mark Rizzo. It is an English-language remake of the 2018 Spanish film of the same name. The film stars Woody Harrelson as a temperamental minor-league basketball coach who, after an arrest, must coach a team of players with disabilities as community service. Kaitlin Olson, Ernie Hudson, and Cheech Marin also star.
